My Ancient Glory
We had the most wonderful tour and experience in Rome with Marc. He did make our trip the most enjoyable ever! We are planning to return to Rome, hopefully next summer and if so would like to have him continue his tour with us.

My family and I had the pleasure of your company for two days this past summer (Tom, Carrie, Sarah and Katie Bolf). I wanted to drop you a line to let you know that your tours were among the highlights of our very extensive trip. After the return home, when all of the travel dust finally settles, there are always memorable times and favorite sites, etc. for each member of the family. They are almost NEVER the same memories. I have to say, however, that all of us mention you, your enthusiasm and your ability to bring to life the antiquities of Rome and the Vatican. So, on behalf of all of us, thank you again. My younger daughter, Katie, is taking an advanced placement course as a Sophmore in high school titled European History AP. Her enthusiasm has definitely been keener since you brought so much of ancient Rome to life for us.
I also wanted you to know that I saw the pre-season show for “Rome” on HBO. It is, as you might know, starting August 28. The historian on the show was Jonathan Stamp. Did you work directly with him? Anyway, it looks interesting…even though HBO seems to be putting a great deal of emphasis on the personal stories……sex sells etc.
Please don’t be surprised if in the next year or so I email you to set up private tours for families I know that may be heading over to Rome. It is surprising how news travels by word of mouth.
